Description

Based on The Responsible Communication Style Guide, this workshop is an introduction to the concepts in the style guide. It also covers how a style guide can be an effective part of the workflow when creating and promoting technology projects (including open source).

Topics we’ll cover include

  • How to interview someone about their identity (and when it’s inappropriate to do so)
  • Writing inclusive documentation
  • The all-purpose ‘they’

This workshop is not a sales pitch. It uses the Responsible Communication Style Guide as an authoritative document and relevant sections of the guide will be available to attendees.
