An Introduction to OpenSCAD using Legos*
Learn 3D modelling with OpenSCAD through an hands-on tutorial for modelling Legos
OpenSCAD., is also known as “The Programmers Solid 3D CAD Modeller”
Come learn the basics of 3D modelling using OpenSCAD by building a 3D model of a Lego.
This will be a hands-on tutorial so everyone is encouraged to bring their laptop to try the tutorial or a model of their own choosing.
You will be able to use these basics to create basic 3D models and enclosures for projects you might be working on that you can 3D print later on.
You can download OpenSCAD prior to the session to try the hands-on portion of the session.

I have presented this topic at a local makerspace recently but this will be the first time I will be presenting this topic at a conference.
3/4 th Android Developer, 1/4th Electronics hobbyist
I’ve been doing software development since 1999, working on a variety of technology on the way, but have recently started experimenting with Arduino and wearables. As part of that journey of learning to design a wearable, I have had to learn how to use 3D modelling software to design an enclosure for the project I am working on.
I plan to open source my projects share my learning as I embark on this journey of electronics and wearables.
