Z Shell is a UNIX shell with a bunch of cool features. Learn about installing and configuring zsh with some of my favorite features. Topics include:

  1. Installing latest version of zsh
  2. Changing directories without cd (autocd)
  3. Making autocd more powerful with the cdpath
  4. Completion of paths and commands
  5. Command history features
  6. Spelling correction
  7. Installing command completion libraries for programs such as Maven
  8. Configuring zsh or using oh-my-zsh

Speaking experience

I have spoken at Open Source Bridge and ApacheCon in 2010.

The proposed talk has been given internally at Chariot Solutions, but never to a public audience.
