This talk will go over all of the latest features to libmemcached including new SSL and configuration data. The talk will also cover how to setup replication, how to build a server with libmemcached-protocol, and how to pick the best hashing algorithm.

We will go over the latest features and review how you can leverage features to get the most out of your Memcached setup and explore integrating Memcached with MySQL and Drizzle.

We will explain how to use the new configuration management to simplify your deployments of Memcached. We will also delve into the libmemcached library. We’ll explore its memory usage, command line tools, keys, partitioning, and hashing for distribution.

    Biography

    Brian has spent his life working on the details of how to build and scale out systems. He is currently working on a new MicroKernel designed MySQL called Drizzle and is building the plumbing required for a new generation of large scale computer deployment. He also spends time working on Apache Modules, Memcached, and Gearman.

    In the past, he has been involved with projects for the Army Engineer Corps, The VirtualHospital, Splunk, MySQL, Slashdot, and was a Distinguished Engineer at Sun Microsystems. He calls Seattle his home since that is where his dog Rosalynd is.
