Save the Date! Open Source Bridge Startup Crawl, June 3rd, 6-10 PM

Local startups including Urban Airship, Taplister and others are getting together with Facebook to host a startup crawl in Portland on Thursday, June 3rd from 6-10 PM. In addition to tech and tech people, there will be beer tastings from local brewers. This is a great chance to check out the local startup scene and have a beer with friends in the community. The crawl is free and open to all conference attendees.

We’ll post more details soon and we’re looking forward to seeing you on the crawl.

Our first Open Source Bridge volunteer sprint will be this Saturday, February 6 starting at 9am at the Daily Cafe.

Interested in helping out? Some things that need to be done are:

Marketing/Fundraising:

• Contacting user groups with ‘save the dates’
• Reaching out to potential sponsors
• Updating content on the website, wiki
• Helping to outline future areas of content we should add, blog post topics

Technical:

• Processing audio and video from last year’s event. A copy of Audacity and a laptop would be helpful for this
• Work on a pre-conference attendee demographics survey
• Research on a Customer Relations Management (CRM) system, testing requirements and presenting results to the OS Bridge team
• Collaborate with the Open Conference Ware team on a ticket purchasing system (starting with Google Checkout, probably also Paypal)
